Job Description
Fairview Range is hiring a Maintenance II - On call for our Facilities Department in Hibbing, MN.
As a Maintenance II team member you will perform a variety of general mechanical and preventative maintenance as well as inspections, servicing, repair and overhaul of equipment and facilities of Range Regional Health Services to include; refrigeration, cooling, air conditioning systems and equipment; construction, repairing and maintaining of wooden structures such as furniture, equipment, partitions and other parts of the RRHS facilities using hand and power tools as assigned. Assist with general maintenance activities as directed. Operating Skid Steer for snow removal, landscaping, and freight unloading. Assist with security for patients, employees and visitors.
Schedule: This position will work as an on-call status.

As a Maintenance II work you will:
- Repair and maintain equipment and systems as needed. Responsible for the maintenance of the plant, facilities, fixtures and equipment, as directed
- Performs the repairing and overhauling of RRHS equipment as needed.
- Performs the servicing of HVAC equipment.
- Repairs beds, carts and other wheeled equipment.
- Installs, operates and tests new equipment.
- Follows manufacturer's instructions and specifications in operation, repair, and maintenance of systems and equipment.
- Requisitions materials, supplies and equipment.
- Perform electrical work under supervision
- Operate Skid Steer and Plow Truck. Snow removal of all sidewalks and entrances
Provide security for patients, employees and visitors
- Consults with and keeps supervisor informed of activities, needs and problems.
- Responds to inquiries for advice and assistance from hospital personnel and visitors; provides restraints of psychiatric patients as needed.
- Maintain records, reports and files as required.
- Coordinates preventative maintenance with repair and emergency work activities.
- Reviews work orders, priority status and designated time schedules.
- Learns, understands and follows environmental care manual.
- Input daily work orders into computerized Equipment Management Program.
- Assist on major repair or installation projects
Required Qualification
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Sufficient previous experience in building maintenance and construction
- Previous experience in commercial building maintenance
- Driver's License Class D
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of a trade school
- Previous experience with equipment management and preventative maintenance schedules
