Position Overview
We are looking for a Junior Salesforce Developer to join the Salesforce team at Halvik. You will contribute to feature development, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the suite of Salesforce applications. As part of a small, agile team, you will also be expected to support quality assurance activities, writing test cases, executing tests, and validating those features work as intended before they reach production. Core Responsibilities
Salesforce Development
- Build and update Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Apex code under senior developer guidance.
- Support Salesforce Flow Configuration Screen Flows and Record-Triggered Flows
- Maintain custom objects, fields, page layouts, and permission sets for internal users and external Experience Cloud users (registered importers).
- Assist with reports and dashboards used by NHTSA program staff to track vehicle import activity.
- Support integration touchpoints between Salesforce and AWS
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Write and execute test cases for Salesforce features and Experience Cloud portals.
- Perform functional and regression testing during sprint cycles; support UAT with NHTSA stakeholders.
- Validate key VISTA workflows, conformity package submission, bond release automation, VIN and odometer matching logic.
- Log and track defects in JIRA; retest fixes and document results clearly.
- Write Apex unit tests and work toward the team's 85% code coverage standard.
Team Collaboration
- Attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Keep JIRA tickets updated with accurate status, notes, and blockers.
- Ask questions, learn from the team, and take ownership of assigned tasks
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5 years total experience
- 1–3 years of Salesforce development or administration experience
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM fundamentals: objects, fields, relationships, profiles, and permissions.
- Basic experience writing Apex classes and SOQL queries.
- Exposure to Salesforce Flow (Screen Flows or Record-Triggered Flows).
- Willingness to own testing and QA tasks as part of the development role.
Certification
- Salesforce Platform Developer I, required, or actively in progress at time of hire.
Tools
- Git/GitHub for version control.
- VS Code with Salesforce Extensions (SFDX).
- JIRA or similar Agile project tracking tool.
Cloud Technology
- Working knowledge of AWS core services, particularly S3 (file storage) and RDS/PostgreSQL (relational data).
- Knowledge of how cloud storage and databases connect to Salesforce in a hybrid architecture (external objects, API calls, callouts).
Preferred Expertise
- Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud (building or testing external-facing portals).
- Familiarity with Lightning Web Components, even reading or modifying existing code.
- Prior federal or government project experience.
- Salesforce Administrator certification.
