
Senior Data Architect (m/w/d)
Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Data Architect (m/w/d) with strong expertise in Snowflake to join a high-impact data transformation environment.
In this role, you will act as a senior sparring partner for architecture, engineering, and product teams, focusing on scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data solutions. You will play a key role in shaping and optimizing enterprise data architecture while ensuring alignment across technologies and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and adapt technical specifications, architecture standards, and solution designs
- Review architecture compatibility and integration across interconnected technologies
- Lead architecture reviews and provide strategic technical advisory
- Implement Snowflake best practices across data platforms and pipelines
- Drive performance optimization and FinOps/cost control initiatives
- Ensure security, governance, and compliance standards are maintained
- Mentor and support engineering and product teams
Required Expertise
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture & development
- Strong experience in ETL / ELT design and implementation
- Advanced SQL knowledge (ANSI + Snowflake extensions)
- Experience with analytics integrations, pipeline automation, and orchestration
- Strong understanding of data modelling, governance, and performance tuning
- Experience with MLOps / AIOps development (Snowflake ML, Azure ML, Snowflake Cortex AI)
- Proficiency with Python, YAML, Git, Matillion, and modelling tools such as Archimate

- Bachelor’s degree in IT is preferred
