As a Sourcing & Contracts Manager you’ll play a critical leadership role in how we source, evaluate, and manage the equipment, materials, and partnerships that support our Retail, Distribution, Support and Manufacturing environments.
In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams through the supplier lifecycle including identification, qualification, negotiation, selection, and ongoing management to ensure we partner with the right suppliers to meet our business needs. Responsibilities include:
- growing stockholder value through the procurement and management of millions of dollars in capital and operating costs and revenue for various areas within Retail, Distribution, Manufacturing and Support.
- continually improving our supplier base and product mix to maximize company profit while maintaining quality standards.
- leading projects for business area contributions to strategic initiatives (commissioned by officers and other executives of the company) and other business area projects.
- ensuring that our legal, financial and business risk is mitigated and Publix has the appropriate level of legal risk protection in the areas of price, indemnification, warranty, insurance coverage and other necessary business terms and conditions when selecting and managing suppliers.
- tracking and understanding market shifts to position Publix strategically and proactively, responding to changing business conditions and the needs of our customers.
