Overview Role: Associate Director / Director – Analytics Strategy (Media) Location: [Mumbai / Bangalore] Team: Analytics & Solutions / Media Strategy Role Overview We are looking for a Strategy Director with a strong analytics orientation, who can bridge the gap between advanced analytics (MMM, measurement) and real-world media decisions
This role is not about building models—it is about making models useful
You will work at the intersection of: Marketing effectiveness (MMM, attribution, experimentation) Media strategy (planning, allocation, optimization) Client leadership (local + regional teams) The core mandate: Translate analytics outputs into clear, actionable media recommendations that drive business outcomes
Key Responsibilities MMM Translation & Strategy Interpret MMM outputs (ROI curves, saturation, carryover, channel contributions) Convert findings into: Budget allocation recommendations Channel mix strategies Flighting / phasing guidance Build “so what / now what” narratives for clients Analytics-led Media Strategy Partner with media teams to: Integrate MMM insights into planning cycles Drive data-backed decision frameworks Move teams from: reporting → insight → action Client & Market Engagement Work closely with local market teams (APAC) Present complex analytics in simple, business-friendly language Act as a trusted advisor to clients on marketing effectiveness Cross-functional Collaboration Interface with: Data science / MMM teams Media planning & buying teams Product / platform teams Ensure alignment between: model outputs planning inputs execution realities Thought Leadership Build POVs on: Agile MMM Measurement evolution Media effectiveness frameworks Contribute to internal capability building and client conversations What We’re Looking For Experience 8–12+ years in: Media strategy (this is must) Analytics consulting / marketing effectiveness Strong exposure to: MMM (interpretation, not necessarily modeling) Media planning across digital + offline Skillset Ability to translate data into decisions Strong storytelling + structuring skills Comfort with ambiguity and cross-market complexity Ability to influence senior stakeholders Mindset Strategic thinker with analytical rigor Not a data scientist, not a pure planner → hybrid profile Curious, structured, and outcome-driven Reference Profile (for recruiters) Please look for profiles similar to: Marion Esperanza Magturo (Strategy Director, Spotify – Publicis) Key traits to benchmark: Strategy-first mindset Strong media understanding Ability to work with analytics and translate to business impact Why this role matters As MMM and advanced analytics scale, the biggest gap is not modeling—it is decision translation
