$60,431.00 - $84,603.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
LE is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical engineer to support FLUX operations through data-driven analysis, technical evaluation, and hands-on operation and testing. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong STEM background who enjoys problem-solving, working with technical equipment, and collaborating across engineering teams.The successful candidate must be willing to work shift assignments 1–2 times per week, including evening hours, to support operational needs and testing schedules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Complete qualification and stand watch in operation of the FLUX laser system
- Perform engineering analysis to support laser development, system performance evaluation, operational activities and ensure system safety
- Collect, process, and interpret technical data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance improvements
- Conduct laboratory and field-testing using equipment such as oscilloscopes and other diagnostic tools
- Support validation and verification activities through structured test planning and documentation
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and test plans to provide clear direction for technicians and operators
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, engineers, and technicians
- Support laser upgrade projects and software development. Will have responsibility over minor aspects under the direction of a project manager.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM field and 2 years of relevant experience required
- Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes and electronic test equipment preferred
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Excel, or similar platforms) preferred
- Prior experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred
