The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Project Manager, Value Analysis (VA) leads the evaluation, standardization, and optimization of clinical products and services across the health system. This role collaborates closely with supply chain, physicians, nursing, and procedural areas to drive evidence-based decision-making that enhances patient care, promotes clinical excellence, and supports operational efficiency.

This position requires a strong combination of analytical capability, product knowledge, and problem-solving skills, along with practical understanding of hospital operations including perioperative services, procedural areas, and clinical supply workflows. The role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of value analysis initiatives—from intake and evaluation through implementation and outcomes tracking.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manages product review, evaluation, selection, and implementation. Prepares analysis and information for product review meetings. Creates and maintains project plans, including timelines and milestones, change management strategies and communication plans. Negotiates sufficient resources from supply chain data analytics, purchasing, IP, revenue integrity, HIM, and reimbursement teams. Continually re-assesses the appropriate project management approach and skill set/resource mix across the enterprise system for internal and external partners to ensure all project tasks are successfully completed.
  • Sets and communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders. Defines project success criteria and communicates to team throughout project life cycle. Coaches, mentors, motivates and leads project team members. Influences project team to take positive action and accountability for assigned work. Establishes and maintains relationships with affiliates and key partner groups to understand business needs, ensure alignment on objectives and obtain ongoing buy-in across all project activities.
  • Leads and drives system acceptance for clinical standardization of supply chain strategic projects. Works with key stakeholders, advisory groups and subject matter experts throughout the enterprise system to meet project deliverables and timeline.
  • Manages ongoing project plans, department cost saving initiatives, resource and vendor compliance. Facilitates meetings and drives project issues through to resolution. Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation and presentations.
  • Participates as a member, chair, co-chair or ad hoc member of hospital/system committees or sub-committees as a representative of Supply Chain.
  • Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in performance/process improvement, project management and use of healthcare data required
  • Prior experience leading or participating in product evaluation and/or value analysis committees preferred
  • Experience in vendor management preferred


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of healthcare contracting and GPOs 

  • Ability to implement product conversions successfully and increase product standardization

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Project Management certification within 3 years of hire preferred
