Strategic Business & Market Development
- Support and execute Supermicro’s multi-year power product strategy for AI, HPC, Cloud, and Edge markets.
- Evaluate new market opportunities such as BESS, renewable energy, modular power, and grid-interactive UPS solutions; develop business cases for investment decisions.
- Support enterprise and hyperscale customer expansion by identifying technical requirements and participating in solution discussions.
- Conduct competitive and power infrastructure analysis, including trends in 48V power distribution, liquid cooling, and AI-driven high-density deployments.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to product managers and engineering teams.
- Partner with Finance and leadership teams on portfolio P&L analysis, pricing strategies, ROI evaluation, and investment planning.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align product requirements, schedules, and go-to-market readiness.
- Define and monitor KPIs such as market share, customer adoption, revenue growth, and TCO improvements.
Technical Product Ownership
- Lead integration of power infrastructure components including generators, switchgear, UPS, BESS, PDUs, and rack power solutions.
- Translate market and customer requirements into technical specifications and engineering priorities for AI and liquid-cooled data center solutions.
- Drive process improvements across product development to enhance efficiency, product quality, and time-to-market.
Customer & Ecosystem Engagement
- Serve as the technical product expert for enterprise and hyperscale customers, supporting solution design and strategic deals.
- Work with Sales and Channel teams on go-to-market strategies, technical enablement, and competitive positioning.
- Build partnerships with power infrastructure vendors, renewable energy providers, and hyperscale engineering teams to develop integrated solutions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
Experience: 15+ years in product management, including 4+ years in data center power infrastructure, critical power systems, or industrial electrical equipment. Proven track record in launching power hardware products (UPS, BESS, switchgear, PDUs, generators, rack power, etc.), driving revenue growth, expanding enterprise customers, and supporting P&L and product investment decisions (10M–50M+ portfolios preferred).
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of data center power infrastructure, including generators, transformers, switchgear, ATS, RPP, UPS, BESS, PDU, and monitoring systems. Familiar with AI data center power requirements, liquid cooling, and sustainable infrastructure design.
Leadership & Communication: Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical and business recommendations to senior management and customer technical teams. Experienced in complex sales cycles and partner ecosystem collaboration.
Soft Skills: Analytical, results-driven, with strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
