Job Description

A Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily cleaning operations to ensure facilities meet high sanitation and guest service standards. They train and schedule staff, inspect guest rooms and common areas, manage supply inventories, and act as a liaison between the cleaning team and management. [1, 2]
Core Responsibilities
    • Team Leadership: Conduct morning briefings, assign daily tasks, and manage staff schedules and attendance. [1]
    • Quality Control: Inspect rooms and public spaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and brand standards are met. Address and resolve substandard work. [1, 2]
    • Training & Development: Train new housekeepers on proper cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and equipment usage. [1, 2]
    • Inventory Management: Monitor stock of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Guest Relations: Respond promptly to guest complaints and special requests to ensure a positive experience. [1]
