Accounting Manager - Full Time - Days

JOB TITLE: Accounting Manager CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Finance IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of FinancePOSITION SUMMARY: Enhances the productivity of the department by performing assigned accounting duties. Perform required month end close procedures. Supervise staff in the areas of GL, AP, AR & PR. Advise management teams in the efficient use of resources and assist with the development and utilization of budgets. Preparing and submitting financial reports to meet the department’s needs   QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education, Training & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance Preferred Education, Training & Experience: 3 years accounting experience in a non-for-profit environment with supervision Master’s degree (MBA) in Business or Finance preferred   ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Functional knowledge of accounting process is required Working knowledge of spreadsheet applications is required Working knowledge of accounting and financial concepts and communicate them effectively & efficiently to many organizational levels Ability to: Pursue knowledge of the business to produce better and more useful information Effectively work within tight timeframes and deadlines Assess and prioritize responsibilities Effectively utilize time and other resources Supervise a team of staff   SALARY: $32.69-34.61 per hour based on experience
