Job Description

Plans and coordinates the manufacturing workflow to assure customer demand are complied.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

Accountable for:

  • Scheduling (Proactive Operational Planning)
  • Working Order Cycle
  • Reporting Productions Metrics
  • Communication & Negotiation- Schedule
  • Raw Materials & Inserts Inventory Supplies
  • WIP Management
  • Finished Goods Management
  • Supply Chain Performance Indicators Management and Improvement
  • Agreeing MPS requirements for Manufacturing
  • Printing & Publishing monthly MPS (four weeks before month)
  • Preparing monthly detailed schedule 
  • Day to day capacity utilization Supply Chain advice
  • Assuring Compliance with Laws & Regulations
  • Generation of Purchases Requisition

 

Assists in:

  • Determining 6-12 months line capacity
  • Capacity Consumption projection (CCU) (1-5 years)
  • Simulating Scenarios to capacity based in management inputs
  • Labor cost (Budget/ Forecasting)
  • Quarterly Forecast
  • Unit RM Usage and Inventory Optimization
  • Unit MRO, Including Spare Parts Inventory Optimization
  • WIP and FG Inventories Targeting $'s
  • Cost Modeling for Process Improvement
  • Non-Conformance WIP Management
  • Identifying resources availability for Manufacturing
  • Production Line set-up
  • Assuring production goals are achieved for Manufacturing
  • Assuring Readiness of Manufacturing Requirements for the Product Transfer
  • Analyzing schedule vs. capacity
  • Reviewing shortage materials with suppliers
  • Material procurement packaging design
  • Providing Direction & Capabilities to Work Unit
  • Monitoring & Optimizing Unit Performance

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing flow and logistics
  • Knowledge of MRPII, BPCS
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Effective leadership
  • Expert user of PC productivity tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, and responsible person

Experience:

  • Minimum of one to three years of experience performing the planner function or supply chain related functions in a medical device/pharmaceutical industry 

 

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Math, Science or Industrial Engineering
