Multi-Sensor Navigation R&D Engineer (m/f/d)
Ready to advance real-time Aided Inertial Navigation Systems (AINS) technology and elevate global positioning? Trimble is looking for an ambitious Multi-Sensor Navigation R&D Engineer to integrate cutting-edge sensor technology into our ProPoint engine.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of developing advanced multi-sensor integration, directly influencing positioning accuracy and reliability and shaping the future of autonomous navigation technology.
Responsibilities and required skills:
Develop and enhance AINS technology, tightly integrated with precise GNSS, to elevate positioning accuracy and reliability.
Implement, test, and verify complex real-time algorithms utilizing C++.
Analyze, visualize, and develop algorithms using Matlab and Python to solve technical challenges.
Support existing products and next-generation solutions by monitoring performance, identifying improvements, and resolving issues.
Collaborate with stakeholders to document innovations, support intellectual property efforts, and develop research prototypes.
Master's degree in Navigation, Aerospace, Robotics, Geodesy, or a related engineering discipline.
Proficiency in C++ programming and software development, alongside experience with Matlab or Python.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss complex technical topics fluently in English.
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced development team under minimal supervision.
Background in inertial sensing, sensor fusion, precise GNSS, real-time algorithms, or embedded systems.
Experience with quality assurance, navigation system field applications, or Jira.
Location: Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn, Germany
