Job Description

Applies established design and drafting practices in developing or modifying moderately complex design concepts and deliverables for new and existing Transmission Lines and Substations. Coordinates with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development. Develop or modify deliverables based on rough sketches, marked-up copies and/or detailed verbal instructions. Develops necessary views, sections and details with minimal supervision. Learn and understand project and Company standards and procedures. Performs minor computations such as material quantity estimate, dimensional checks, etc., as assigned. Learn new programs or processes required for assignments.Continuously evaluates the methods used to accomplish the design concept and drafting activities they have been assigned. Ensures that the design concept and drawings are complete and to the best of their knowledge meet requirements and applicable codes and standards. Ensures that the deliverables are compliant with sketches, marked copies and written or verbal instructions. Take personal accountability of actions and results.


  • Graduate of BS or BE Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • 5 years’ experience with substation physical design and schematic and wiring diagram development a plus. 
  • Proficient in working on one line diagrams, key plans, sections and details, equipment layouts and site plans. 
  • Working with vendor and manufacturer documents. 
  • Working with Electrical, Civil designers and engineers, System protection, construction supervisors and field personnel.


Duration: 12 Months Contract
