Position Summary: The College of Performing and Visual Arts at the University of Northern Colorado invites applications for an adjunct hiring pool in the School of Theatre Arts Dance (STAD). This pool will be used to fill potential temporary, part-time and/or full-time adjunct faculty positions as needs arise. Adjunct faculty may be assigned to teach a variety of undergraduate courses, including lecture, laboratory, studio, and applied lessons. We seek candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Acting, Theatre Education, Musical Theatre, Dance, and Design Technology. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, the ability to engage and mentor students, and a collaborative approach to working within a dynamic and creative academic environment. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Theatre (Acting, Education, Musical Theatre, Dance, Design Technology) and professional experience in their discipline. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s or terminal degree (MFA, MA, or PhD) in Acting, Theatre Education, Musical Theatre, Dance, Design Technology, or a related theatre discipline. Demonstrated record of successful college-level teaching and/or significant professional experience. Evidence of outstanding artistry and ongoing professional engagement in the field. Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching practices and a collaborative academic environment.
