Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Commercial Director to lead business growth in Thailand for a growing marketing agency. This role is responsible for developing and executing the country's commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, and establishing long-term partnerships with leading media agencies, independent agencies, brands, and advertisers.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership & Revenue Growth
  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the Thailand market to achieve ambitious revenue targets.

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with media agencies, advertisers, and strategic partners.

  • Build tailored commercial proposals and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements that deliver value for clients and the business.

  • Own the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and revenue reporting.

  • Consistently achieve sales targets while driving sustainable long-term business growth.

Client & Agency Partnership Management
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across agency groups, independent agencies, brands, and advertisers.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior decision-makers by understanding business objectives and delivering innovative advertising solutions.

  • Expand existing partnerships through consultative selling and strategic account development.

  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings to strengthen market presence.

Strategic Planning & Market Development
  • Develop market strategies aligned with regional business objectives and growth plans.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to identify areas for commercial expansion.

  • Collaborate with regional leadership to leverage existing partnerships and maximise cross-market opportunities.

  • Balance short-term revenue generation with long-term strategic growth initiatives.

Product & Solution Leadership
  • Clearly communicate the value proposition of the company's advertising technology and AI-powered media solutions.

  • Translate complex technology into compelling business solutions through effective storytelling and presentations.

  • Work closely with product, operations, and client success teams to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.

  • Provide market feedback to support product innovation and ensure offerings remain competitive and relevant.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead, coach, and develop the local commercial team to achieve business objectives.

  • Foster collaboration across sales, client services, product, and regional leadership teams.

  • Promote best practices in sales execution, forecasting, and account management.

  • Ensure alignment between commercial strategy and overall business goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • At least 7+ years of significant experience in media sales, advertising technology (AdTech), digital media, or marketing solutions.

  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets and winning new business.

  • Strong network and established relationships with media agencies, advertisers, and key industry stakeholders in Thailand.

  • Experience developing commercial strategies and managing complex sales cycles.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate high-value commercial agreements.

  • Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and commercial planning skills.

  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales teams.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strategic thinker with a consultative sales approach and strong commercial acumen.
