As a Campus Security Guard, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors by conducting regular patrols, monitoring campus activities, and responding promptly to incidents or emergencies. Working in a dynamic academic setting, you will provide a visible presence, interact with a diverse community, and use strong observation skills and sound judgment to prevent issues and ensure safety at all times.

- Full-time position, Shift schedule: Monday to Friday from 14:45 to 22:15
Responsibilities for Campus Security Guard

Patrol campus areas to identify and report suspicious activity

Verify identification and control access to restricted areas

Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, documenting actions taken

Monitor alarms, CCTV systems, and conduct on-site checks as needed

Coordinate with law enforcement during serious incidents

Provide assistance to students, staff, and visitors while enforcing campus policies
Qualifications for Campus Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid BC security license
- First aid certification is required ( Intermediate or OFA2)
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
- Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
- Responsive and strong problems solving skills
