These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.

The Software Analyst II clarifies and documents business and users needs and aligns solutions to meet them. Supports and maintains software-as-a-service (SaaS), packaged software, and/or enterprise-wide applications. This person maps business processes to application(s) to best deliver value and maximize application functionality. The role performs configuration, setup, and updates of the application, as well as manages access control. This person builds and produces reporting for business needs. The role recommends changes in application development, maintenance and system standards.

Scope of delivery and sphere of influence is for a single team.

Level of complexity of autonomous work: Low/Medium

Experience level: Intermediate

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Product Backlog & Roadmap:

Contribute to and help refine the team's backlog. Help inform delivery estimates (story points), prioritization, identify dependencies, and influence the product roadmap. Support backlog grooming and document priorities. Assist in gathering Confidence and Effort inputs for prioritization scoring. Seek guidance to understand tradeoffs and dependencies across the B2B commerce stack.

Partner with teammates and the delivery manager to break down work into reasonable sizes that can be accomplished in a single iteration. Ensure stories have clear understood value and defined acceptance criteria. Write user stories with review and support. Capture requirements and test scenarios for wholesale workflows such as order capture, assortment planning, account management, and CRM processes.

Development:

System Configuration: Responsible for the design, configuration, testing, monitoring, and support of B2B commerce and CRM platforms to deliver business value. Set up and maintain system users through role-based authorization. Build subject matter knowledge in B2B commerce, wholesale order management, and sales operations domains. Adhere to team and application standards where applicable.

Quality & Performance: Ensure new features and functions are tested thoroughly across the B2B user base (sales reps, buyers, account operations, distributors). Leverage automation to accomplish repeatable tasks where possible and appropriate. Troubleshoot and fix bugs, including data inconsistencies across integrated systems (ERP, CRM, commerce platform).

Observability: Monitor and observe health, availability, and performance of B2B commerce applications in production to provide appropriate application support. Help implement new monitoring and proactive alerting mechanisms to inform the team of issues before problems reach wholesale users or business stakeholders.

Technical Skills: Build skills to navigate application data programmatically (such as via SQL or scripting languages). Develop working familiarity with integration patterns between ERP, CRM, and commerce systems, including data sync processes and order routing logic.

Reporting & Analytics: Build and produce reports that give sales operations, account operations, and sales management visibility into platform usage, order activity, and system health. Support tracking of team-level KPIs and assist in pulling established metrics with guidance.

Ways of Working:

Participate in the team's Agile delivery ceremonies (daily stand-up, refinement, sprint planning, review/demo, and retrospectives).

Help drive collaboration within the team through participation in practices such as pair work with peer Software Engineers and QA partners.

Partner with Portland-based business stakeholders (Sales Operations, Account Operations, Sales Management) to ensure application changes are delivered in a way that can be adopted by business users. Ensure business users are trained appropriately to take advantage of changes.

Build rapport with cross-functional peers across a 13.5-hour time zone difference. Communicate proactively on task status, findings, and blockers through async channels (Jira updates, Confluence documentation, Teams messages).

Escalate issues and blockers early and constructively to the right people. Share updates and ask clarifying questions.

Architecture & Design:

Seek to understand application architecture across the B2B commerce ecosystem, including how commerce platforms, ERP (SAP), CRM (Salesforce), databases, caching layers, and cloud services (Azure) work together to support the wholesale ordering lifecycle.

YOU ARE

  • A detail-oriented analyst who takes pride in understanding business processes deeply enough to configure and optimize the systems that support them

  • A strong async communicator who documents requirements, decisions, and status updates clearly so distributed teammates can act without a follow-up call

  • Curious and self-driven, eager to learn the wholesale sales domain (order management, assortment planning, customer operations) and how technology enables it

  • Collaborative across cultures and time zones, comfortable working in a globally distributed team with shared ownership between Bengaluru and Portland

  • A problem-solver who proactively identifies issues, asks clarifying questions, and escalates constructively when needed

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in a software analyst, business systems analyst, or application support role

  • Experience with application configuration, setup, and administration for SaaS, packaged software, or enterprise platforms

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and/or ERP systems (SAP preferred) in a B2B or enterprise context

  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating application data

  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices and backlog management tools (Jira, Confluence, or equivalent)

  • Exposure to reporting and analytics tools for building business-facing reports

  • Experience working in a distributed or global team with async communication practices is a plus

  • Experience in B2B commerce, wholesale, retail, or order management domains is a plus

  • Familiarity with cloud services (Azure preferred) is a plus
