Job Description
Help connect people to recreation opportunities across Missoula. As a Recreation Transportation Facilitator, you’ll provide safe, reliable transportation for program participants while creating a positive and welcoming environment. This role is essential in helping individuals access recreational programs and activities by ensuring transportation is dependable, supportive, and participant-focused.

- Pick-up and drop-off program participants at designated locations.
- Follow a planned route according to schedule
- Help participants into and out of the vans.
- Install car seats/booster seats when needed.
- Obey traffic laws and state/federal transit regulations.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, such as check tires, lights, fluids, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned, based on training and qualifications.
- Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
- Skill in driving in different types of conditions.
- Skill in promoting positive and safe environments.
- Skill in communicating, in person and writing, with the proven ability to establish and maintain positive effective working relationships with diverse individuals.
- Ability to maintain and foster a culture of professionalism, adhere to departmental and City standards and specifications, and support a positive team environment.
- Ability to accept criticism and resolve conflicts with facilitating outcomes while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Ability to learn departmental and City of Missoula practices and procedures.
- Positions require the ability to lift 50 lbs. or less
- Work environment may involve occasional exposure to unavoidable seasonal weather conditions, occupational hazards, biohazards, and physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Must have at least one (1) year of work-related driving experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid Montana driver’s license with a verified acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check.
- Must have CPR/First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
