The role:
As a Process Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:
Promote high environmental, health and safety standards and behaviours for yourself and your co-workers
Maintain alignment with the PGMR departmental safety standards
Develop a technical understanding of the PGMR Refinery and the associated hydrometallurgical processes
Represent technical process engineering in the PGMR OEE task force, translating losses into prioritised technical actions to ensure plant outputs are optimised
Monitor and analyse key hydrometallurgical process data to support timely issue resolution
Provide process expertise to enable technical instructions, management of change reviews, process control assessments and hazard reviews
Carry out appropriate risk assessments (task-based/ergonomic risk, COSHH, Manual Handling, etc) for development work
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
Degree in Chemical Engineering (or similar) based subject - Essential
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering or Chemistry based subject or similar - Desirable
Experience within process development or chemical plant - Essential
High level of numeracy, working with systems and data - Essential
