Job Description
MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD AND CURRENTLY NOT ENROLLED IN HIGH SCHOOL
“This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.”
Cutter Operator II, MV2 Pack 2nd
Primary Function:
Support dry processing of Snack Food products through operating machines as well as assisting in other tasks, which prepare product for packaging.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs all work in a safe manner; remain constantly aware of continuous improvement(s) for safety-related opportunities.
- Set up and operate cutter, kipper cutter, peeler and ban saw
- Follow daily production reports: shift labor report, daily cutting summary
and skid summary sheets
- Untie casing knots and prepare product to be fed
- Remove product from trees and feed into machine
- Assist in the sorting of cut product and stacking for packaging
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Follow GMP/HAACP procedures
- Other tasks as assigned; may assist in other departments
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read production reports and assign tasks
- Basic writing skills
- Intermediate communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment or independently
Physical Requirements:
- Hand/eye coordination 4. Lift 50 lbs.
- Walk/stand 100% of shift 5. Push/pull 400 lbs.
- Handling (holding, grasping) 6. Seeing/depth perception
