Position: Social Media and Community Associate, OXO

Department: Marketing – Home & Outdoor

Work Location: New York, NY, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)

Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Any updates to this model will be communicated in advance. Please note that hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations. 

What you will be doing: 

As a Social Media and Community Associate, you will support the OXO Marketing team by managing our social media channels and building our community. The Social Media and Community Associate will deliver a strong, positive consumer-facing impression of the brand and its diverse portfolio. You will also manage the execution of OXO’s social media strategy as well as other management and creation of content across key digital programming and platforms.

  • Maintain all OXO and OXO TOT social media platforms and build platform-specific strategies that ladder up to brand strategy.

  • Write copy and create content for owned social media channels: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube.

  • Create and own the organic social media content calendar; coordinate with agency for paid social ads.

  • Support ongoing optimization of social content strategy through performance insights, testing and platform trends.

  • Brief in social content needs to brand design team and social content creators that drive social media strategy and elevate the brand.

  • Ensure strong and on-brand community management and quick turnaround to consumer queries on social.

  • Support ongoing optimization of social content strategy through performance insights, testing, and platform trends.

  • Manage influencer marketing and creator partnerships, both paid and organic.

  • Manage relevant performance reporting on a consistent basis and proactively recommend adjustments to strategy and content accordingly.

  • Identify social trends, creator behaviors, and cultural moments that can inform content opportunities for the brand.

Skills needed to be successful in this role: 

  • Proficient with MS Office

  • Expert knowledge of social media platforms and digital trends

  • Familiarity with influencer management, both paid and organic

  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written, listening skills

  • Challenger brand mindset with excitement for helping grow and evolve a culturally relevant brand presence

  • Passion for social media, creator culture, and emerging platform trends

  • Strong creative instincts and curiosity around what makes content perform organically

  • Ability to think outside the box and bring proactive ideas forward

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, test-and-learn environment

  • Strong sense of ownership, agility, and willingness to experiment

  • Naturally collaborative and energized by cross-functional teamwork

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in related field/profession

  • 2+ years’ experience in Digital Marketing, especially social media management

  • Experience with social media monitoring, measurement and analytics tools

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Sprout experience 

  • Knowledge and passion for home, food, lifestyle, trends

In New York, the standard base pay range for this role is $62,067 - $76,000 annually. This base pay range is specific to New York and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
