STEM/Career Exploration Teacher - Middle School - Grades 5-8

Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year
Croswell-Lexington Community Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire student learning through engaging, hands-on learning and exploration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students will also develop an awareness of future career pathways. This position requires strong classroom management, a student-centered approach, and the ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
Required Qualifications:
Certified with the State of Michigan to teach with grade bands of K-8, 6-12, or 5-9, preferably also certified in Mathematics (EX) or English (BA/BQ/BX). Additional certifications are encouraged to apply.
Trained in Project Lead the Way, preferred.
Effective classroom management skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
Passion for teaching and working with students.
Commitment to ensure all students are academically challenged based on individual learning levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with school and curriculum standards
Teach reading, writing, grammar, and literature analysis
Utilize formative and summative assessments to determine student growth
Provide feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents/guardians
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in faculty meetings and professional development
Incorporate technology and diverse teaching strategies to meet varied learning styles and needs
