Job Summary:
The HRIS Director serves as a hands-on leader responsible for both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). This role actively manages and configures the Oracle HCM platform, drives system enhancements, and resolves complex issues while ensuring data integrity and optimizing HR processes. In addition to leading and developing a team of HRIS analysts, the HRIS Director directly partners with HR, IT, and business leaders to deliver solutions, manage projects, and support critical operational and cyclical initiatives. This position integrates people leadership with hands-on execution, requiring active involvement in HRIS configuration, problem-solving, and delivery while leading the team toward high performance and accountability.
Lead, mentor, and develop the HRIS team by setting clear expectations, promoting accountability, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Oversee day-to-day operations and major initiatives for the Oracle HCM platform, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and ongoing support.
Manage ticket intake and workflow, ensuring timely resolution, effective prioritization, and appropriate assignment of work and projects.
Establish and maintain a strategic Oracle HCM roadmap that includes system upgrades, releases, integrations, and enhancements aligned with organizational needs.
Partner closely with HR, IT, and functional leaders (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Finance, Learning) to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve system adoption.
Ensure high standards of data integrity, system security, privacy, and regulatory compliance through governance practices, audits, and collaboration with IT.
Lead planning, configuration, testing, and execution for annual and cyclical HR initiatives such as performance and merit cycles, open enrollment, payroll year‑end, and compliance reporting.
Drive system enhancements, integrations, and change requests by analyzing business needs and improving functionality and overall user experience.
Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics to support HR leadership, demonstrate project impact, and inform data‑driven decision‑making.
- Lead change management, training, and user support efforts to ensure successful system adoption, stability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications/Training:
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience leading HRIS implementations or major system upgrades, with strong Oracle HCM expertise across Payroll, Recruiting, Absence, Compensation, Benefits, Performance, and integrations.
At least 3 years of experience leading high‑performing teams with a focus on accountability, continuous improvement, and change management.
Strong technical expertise in system integrations, data management, and analytics, with the ability to analyze complex problems and recommend effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to manage projects, deliver training to HR and end users, and partner effectively across departments and leadership levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
HRIS-related certifications (e.g., Certified Oracle HCM Cloud Consultant, PHR, SPHR).
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
