Residency Requirements:
Not subject to residency requirements.Performs a variety of work connected with the operations, inspections and instrument control and electric of combustion turbine, combined cycle, HRSG, and steam generator sites. Performs varied instrument control and electrical, basic mechanical and maintenance activities and other duties necessary to maintain the generation facility to which they are assigned.
What you will do
- Performs combustion turbine operations, combined cycle, HRSG, and steam generator inspections and instrument control and electrical in a safe and efficient manner adhering to all corporate and company guidelines to ensure compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations.
- Participates in job safety briefings, safety tailgate sessions, safety reviews and safety observations.
- Observes, operates and initiates repairs to the combustion turbine, combined cycle, HRSG, steam generator and related equipment.
- Maintain an accurate operating log of all equipment and performs preventive maintenance.
- Maintains, operates and repairs water treatment systems. Receives and unloads acid and caustic trucks. Troubleshoots and repairs the water treatment systems controls and valves.
- Maintain optimum water treatment system performance.
- Calibrates and repairs recording and indicating instrumentation.
- Maintains water treatment systems. Performs tests and reports data on waste treatment systems.
- Maintains performance monitoring and control equipment. Monitors gas and steam turbine performance. Keeps testing records as assigned.
- Maintains warehouse, orders supplies as needed.
- Performs regular inspections of gas and steam turbines and auxiliary equipment utilizing Maximo. Participates during overhauls of all related plant equipment.
- Performs the instrument control and electrical, basic mechanical troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, cleaning, inspecting and constructing of equipment and systems for the generation facility.
- Operates and/or obtains information from various electrical devices used to support specific equipment diagnostics or work activities; gathers, interprets and logs data.
- Is proficient in the use of machine tools and various hand powered tools as job needs dictate.
- Operates mobile and heavy equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
- Performs various welding activities.
- Supports safety, plant reliability, productivity, and plant efficiency improvements by participating in various continuous improvement activities.
- Performs all work according to established procedures and safety practices.
- Performs various generating plant and shop area housekeeping functions.
- Performs other duties which are similar, related, or incidental to this position.
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
- 2 years electrical or instrument and control technical college or equivalency or 4 year experience in electrical or instrument and control trade or completed apprenticeship; or 2 years of Combustion Turbine electrical experience
Other Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Pay Range:
