Specialist, MD Office (Strategy & Project Management)
Job Description
Do you want to see how a leading tech platform is steered from the top? As a Performance Analyst Specialist in the Managing Director (MD) Office, you won’t just be crunching numbers; you’ll be translating data into the narrative that drives foodpanda Malaysia. You will be the right hand to the MD Office leads, ensuring our business-as-usual (BAU) runs like a Swiss watch, our strategic projects have the data-driven "punch" they need to succeed, and our executive narratives are brought to life through high-impact, world-class presentations.
What’s in your "Panda Box"?
The Master of Narratives (Slides): You’ll take complex data and turn it into high-impact visual stories for leadership reviews, townhalls, and regional syncs. You don't just "make slides"—you build decks that influence decisions.
The Data Detective (Analysis): You’ll perform structured analysis within our core KPIs. You’ll use existing frameworks to solve standard problems, but we expect you to speak up when you see a way to make a process better or faster.
The Project Pilot (Support): You’ll support the MD Office on high-priority projects. You’ll gain expanded conceptual knowledge of how foodpanda works, from logistics to marketing, while helping us hit our milestones.
The Pulse of the Business (BAU Management): You will manage the heartbeat of our office—coordinating BAU meetings, tracking action items, and ensuring information flows straightforwardly across the team.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment (ideally Consulting, Tech, or Corporate Strategy). You understand the "why" behind business drivers.
Problem Solver: You use experience and precedents to find solutions. You don't just flag a problem; you analyze possible solutions before bringing them to the team.
Competence: You are comfortable & strong working with daily tools like Excel/Google Spreadsheets & Powerpoint/Google Slides.
Quality Focused: You take pride in the quality of your work. You know that a 2% error in a report can lead to a 100% wrong decision.
Communicator: You can explain data and complex info to others clearly and simply. No jargon—just clarity & simplicity.
What does a typical day look like?
09:30 AM – The Morning Pulse: You start your day by reviewing the latest performance dashboards. You’re looking for the "story" behind the numbers—did a specific campaign drive that spike in OTD? You prep a 3-bullet summary for the MD Office lead.
11:00 AM – The Creative Sprint: You spend time in Google Slides, translating a complex cross-functional project into a clean, visual narrative for the upcoming Regional sync. You’re not just making it look good; you’re making it make sense.
02:00 PM – The BAU Heartbeat: You facilitate a weekly performance review meeting. You track action items, ensure everyone stays on script, and capture key decisions that will drive the business forward.
04:00 PM – The "What If" Session: You support a high-priority project (like a new customer experience initiative). You analyze a specific set of data to solve a standard problem, proposing a small process improvement that could save the team hours of work.
05:30 PM – The Strategy Wrap: You sync with your manager to align on tomorrow’s priorities. You’ve successfully turned raw data into actionable information, and you’re building your knowledge of how foodpanda Malaysia truly operates.
