Position Summary: As part of the Brand Leadership Team, you will partner with and influence the Brand President in all strategic business decisions, providing detailed and unbiased analysis of current and future projects and investments. You will be responsible for developing the Brand’s strategic financial plan which includes the Brands long range plan and merchandising financial plan. This leader will also be accountable for achieving business results and key performance metrics including revenue, gross margin, and operating profit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a strategic business partner to Brand President and Brand Management team to advise on long range planning, annual financial plan and merchandising financial plan.
- Oversee all financial reporting for the brand, ensuring business objectives are aligned with the financial business model. Responsibilities also include complete and accurate reporting including SG&A for global marketing, product and administration costs.
- Collaborate with Brand Planning leader to develop the merchandise financial plan, to ensure performance against expectations in all categories (footwear, apparel and accessories).
- Lead pricing and costing throughout the GTM process to ensure gross margins targets are managed and maximized.
- Develop marketing financial plan with Marketing leadership and Brand President, ensuring creation of spend is accurately tracked for effectiveness and return on value is met.
- Consult on potential growth opportunities within the brand strategic roadmap and evaluate all potential investments (new categories, innovation projects, licensing opportunities, etc.).
- Partner with the Regional Finance team for the overall review and communication of financial conditions within the brand.
- Identifies areas for system or process improvements with finance transformation office.
- Ensures business unit’s proper internal control procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Reviews detailed analyses performed throughout business cycle.
- Recruit, lead and mentor a team of financial professionals to complete all objectives, providing guidance to maintain a high performing team and develop talent for future opportunities within the broader Finance organization.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 15+
Educational/Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA or MBA preferred
- Successful and progressive experience in financial management within a mid to large size consumer goods company, including 5+ years in management
- Experience with Merchandising Financial Planning, pricing/costing of goods
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, including presenting to large audiences
- Ability to collaborate and influence business leaders using financial data and analysis
- A proven track record in re-establishing procedures, implementing processes, and ROI analysis.
- Advanced computer skills required including a solid knowledge of several software programs including mainframe financial/accounting packages and spreadsheet software programs.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time
Hiring Range:
$246,240.00 USD - $307,800.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
Long-Term Incentive Potential: This position is eligible to participate in a Long-Term Incentive Plan. Specific details of the plan will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
