Description
Greenergy delivers safe, efficient and reliable fuel solutions to customers across road, aviation and marine sectors. As an international transportation fuel supplier, we combine traditional and renewable energy solutions to support our customers through the energy transition.
Commitment to innovation and a drive to do things differently have seen Greenergy grow from a bedroom start-up to supply transport fuels in the UK, Ireland and Canada, as well as being a leading European manufacturer of waste-based renewables.
Are you organised, confident using Excel and interested in sustainability? We’re looking for a Sustainability Compliance Administrator to join our Manchester-based team, supporting the day-to-day administration behind Greenergy’s biofuel sustainability compliance work.
This role would suit someone with good administration experience who enjoys working accurately with data and documents, and is interested in the role biofuels play in supporting lower-carbon transport. You’ll support analysts with system updates, reconciliations, audit preparation and customer documentation, while building your understanding of sustainability compliance over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) and Sustainability Team, assisting analysts with the accurate maintenance, reconciliation and reporting of sustainability compliance data
- Support data entry into Greenergy’s Environmental Reporting/Management (ERM) system, ensuring records are entered accurately, consistently and in a timely manner
- Assist analysts with reconciling ERM system data to mass balance records, helping to identify discrepancies and escalate issues for review where required
- Support Union Database reconciliation, ensuring UDB records align with Greenergy’s internal reporting, ERM data and sustainability positions.
- Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation to ensure information is readily available for internal review, customer requests and external audit
- Support audit preparation by collating data, checking evidence packs, maintaining document trails and assisting with responses to information requests
- Assist with the preparation and provision of voluntary compliance documentation for customers, including Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme (RFAS), RFAS Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Proof of Compliance documentation
- Liaise with internal teams to obtain missing information, resolve data queries and support the timely completion of compliance administration tasks
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes, helping to improve accuracy, efficiency and consistency across sustainability compliance activities
- Support Finance and ESG teams when necessary
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience of data entry, record keeping and maintaining information in business systems
- Ability to work confidently with Excel spreadsheets, including reviewing, checking and reconciling data
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Able to follow defined processes and procedures consistently
- Ability to manage competing priorities and complete tasks within agreed deadlines
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with internal teams and respond to customer or stakeholder information requests
- Proactive and organised, with the ability to work independently and escalate issues where appropriate
- Willingness to learn about biofuel sustainability compliance, including RTFO, Renewable Energy Directive (RED), RFAS, RFAS SAF and Proof of Compliance documentation
- Able to maintain accurate records and support audit preparation through clear documentation and evidence gathering.
