Purpose of the role
Guides teams, leaders, and organizations in adopting and optimizing Agile practices. To foster an Agile mindset, enhance team performance, and drive continuous improvement by coaching teams in Agile methodologies, facilitating collaboration, and removing barriers to efficiency. Align Agile practices with organisational goals and support long-term, sustainable Agile transformations.
Accountabilities
Mentor and coach : Guide teams and leaders on Agile principles, practices, tools, and methodologies in alignment to the Business Unit’s strategic needs and delivering value to the client / customers
Facilitate Colleague Development: Coach and Develop colleagues to embed Agile ways of working, championing an Agile mindset and behaviors to drive cultural change
Build High-Performing Teams: Help teams identify and address impediments to Agile execution and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
Continuous Improvement: Use data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
Cross Business Collaboration: Collaborate with other Agile Coaches, share best practice and contribute to a network of Agile champions across Business Units
Agile Adoption: Own the Agile coaching strategy to continually improve maturity levels across the organisation by embedding best practices.
At Barclays, we don’t just adapt to the future – Embark on a transformative journey as Agile Coach - VP, where you'll spearhead the evolution of implementing new Agile Scale transformation strategy within Barclays' change delivery team. You will need a deep understanding of Agile practices, and the challenges faced by Financial Services companies in adopting these methods. you will use your excellent coaching skills to embed an Agile mindset at all levels of the organization, sharing their expertise to improve the Agile maturity of teams and enhance delivery efficiency. Additionally, you will integrate Human-Centred Design (HCD) practices within Agile methodologies to improve product development and service delivery. This involves fostering an environment where empathy for users is paramount and solutions are tailored to address real-world challenges. You will play a crucial role in stakeholder management, building effective relationships and promoting collaborative communication. The team facilitates decision-making processes and supports transformation projects by incorporating stakeholder input.
To be successful as an Agile Coach - VP, you should have experience with:
- Accredited Agile practitioner
- Self-starter who can work independently as well as strong collaboration with the wider team
- Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of working in an Agile transformation environment
- Proficiency in facilitating workshops that incorporate HCD tools such as empathy mapping, user journey mapping, and service blueprinting.
- Skilled in translating user feedback into actionable insights that can be prioritized in Agile backlogs.
