Compensation: $68,000 - $78,000 / year
Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitoring new sanctions, enforcement actions, and policy activity by regulatory agencies for developments relevant to Kharon’s products
- Driving the curation, publication, maintenance, and quality assurance of datasets
- Performing data validation and reconciliation to support new products and partnership initiatives
- Conducting research on issues in international affairs that impact business risks and identifying relevant data sources
- Accurately perform detailed quality assurance of data and developing additional tooling to support these tasks as necessary
- Writes original code to assist in automating data analysis, cleanup, and enhancements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Regional Studies, History, Sociology, or a related field
- Must have at least 1-3 years of professional experience with sanctions, export controls, anti-money laundering or countering the financing of terrorism, and experience researching issues of international security and economy in high-risk jurisdictions
- Experience with or willingness to learn SQL
- Experience with data analysis, data visualization, and graph databases (Neo4J)
- Understanding of or willingness to learn web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XPath, JSON, etc).
