Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join our Operations team. The candidate will be part of a larger Ops team who are responsible for co-ordinating all medical deliveries & collections nationwide for our hospital customers. You will be working alongside a number of other dynamic Ops teams all focused on providing a top quality customer experience.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Organising Multidrop deliveries around Leinster and nationwide in a timely manner.
Efficient daily scheduling of Drivers collections & deliveries. Consolidating work as much as possible into efficient routes.
Working with our logistics partners and overnight couriers to move our stock around in a' same day' and ‘next day’ service.
Utilising the company fleet effectively to reduce costs.
Monitoring and proactively working on team and department KPIs. E.g. Collections completed by 2pm, spend on 3rd party logistics etc.
Working with all internal teams to create processes that work and constantly looking to improve the processes.
Taking a lean and collaborative approach to how problems and challenges are tackled as a team.
Role Requirements:
Accuracy and attention to detail is a must in the Medical industry.

Have strong organisational and planning skills.
A genuine team player who enjoys tackling challenges and working collaboratively.
