Wastewater Operator (All Levels)

What You’ll Do
As a Wastewater Operator, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our facilities running safely and efficiently. In this role, you will:
Operate and monitor treatment equipment including pumps, motors, valves, belt presses, and disinfection systems
Perform routine process checks, sampling, and basic lab testing to ensure compliance and performance
Conduct preventive maintenance and assist with repairs on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
Track and document plant performance, including flows, chemical usage, and system data
Respond to after-hours calls and emergency situations to keep operations running smoothly
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure facility environment
Support customer service needs as required
What You BringWe’re looking for someone dependable, safety-focused, and eager to learn.Key qualifications:
Willingness and ability to obtain water/wastewater certification
Basic knowledge of maintenance, process control, or mechanical systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous water/wastewater experience is a plus—but not required
What You Need
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Operator certification (or ability to obtain based on role and location)
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, internet use)
Work Environment & Schedule
Willingness to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotationsActive, hands-on role requiring:
Lifting up to 50–60 lbs
Climbing stairs and ladders
Working in confined spaces and outdoor conditions
