What is the opportunity?
You will be a key member of our Client Lifecycle Management Team, supporting the delivery of an exceptional client experience across our Wealth Management and Estate (WME) business. In this role, you’ll work as a Subject Matter Expert, providing expert guidance on client due diligence, KYC and AML compliance to our Sales & Relationship Management teams. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring seamless client onboarding, periodic reviews, and lifecycle management across multiple jurisdictions, whilst supporting and developing junior colleagues through your knowledge and expertise.
This is a permanent, full-time role, requiring 4 days in our Jersey office.
What will you do?
- Act as the primary point of contact for client due diligence queries, providing expert advice and guidance on client lifecycle documentation and due diligence requirements
- Review and assess client lifecycle cases to ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance and business requirements
- Partner with Senior Associates on complex client structures, providing specialist guidance and support
- Deliver training, coaching and ongoing support to Sales & Relationship Management teams on client lifecycle management, AML, KYC, source of wealth and country connectivity policies
- Liaise effectively with key stakeholders including AML Compliance, Product teams, Tax Risk Management and data management to resolve obstacles and maintain quality and regulatory compliance
- Ensure all work is produced to a high standard of accuracy, in a timely manner and to relevant SLAs
- Support your line manager in maintaining current departmental guides and procedures, and actively contribute to MI reporting and performance tracking
- Escalate risks, errors and workload challenges to management in a timely manner
- Identify and implement continuous improvements and process efficiencies in collaboration with Operations Initiatives
- Act as Subject Matter Expert on project work and take responsibility for complex queries
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Proven experience in the banking or financial services industry
- Demonstrable knowledge of client due diligence, KYC and AML compliance
- Strong IT proficiency and effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail with strong time management abilities
- Professional communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Positive, can-do attitude with adaptability to change and the ability to motivate yourself and use initiative
Nice-to-have
- Experience training and supporting colleagues
- Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements
- Knowledge of the financial services sector and regulatory frameworks
