Our Summer Work Experience Programme is designed for those who are curious about a career in accountancy and want to gain valuable real-world experience.

Over the course of an engaging one-week programme, you'll get hands-on exposure to life at Scrutton Bland, working alongside experienced professionals and developing a practical understanding of the industry. You'll gain insight into the wide range of career opportunities available, build your confidence in a professional environment, and discover what it's really like to work in a leading professional services firm.

Every year, we host our work experience weeks across our offices in East Anglia.

Our Colchester work experience week is taking place between the 13 and 17 July and applications are now open! 

Our work experience programme is open to everyone, but in particular:

The timings of the day run between 10am to 4pm, and applicants will need to be available to attend these sessions in person which will be held in our Colchester office. 

You will spend the week as a group, gaining insight into all key business areas, including Accounting, Audit, & Tax, hearing first-hand experience from our current students, who will share their journeys in the world of professional services so far and be able to understand what a role in each of these areas looks like, so that when it comes to applying for a full time position, you’ll know exactly what you can expect.
