Overview
The West Coast Territory Manager will be responsible for protecting existing accounts and developing new business across a multi-state region, acting as a trusted advisor to customers and partners. This role offers autonomy to build processes, strong leadership support, and the opportunity to make a direct impact on commercial strategy. The position will also focus on implementing best practices (SOPs) and supporting the Corona office operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage a multi-state territory on the West Coast, ensuring account retention and expansion through hunting + farming.
- Develop a strategic plan to recover lost customers and penetrate new segments (converters, printers, packaging).
- Operate with autonomy, while collaborating with internal teams (Customer Service, Technical Service) to ensure quality and availability.
- Represent Beontag at industry events (e.g., TLMI) and strengthen networking.
- Participate in warm introductions with key accounts to preserve business memory.
- Contribute to implementing best practices (SOPs) and technical support in the region, including setting min/max inventory and sales processes.
- Report sales metrics and pipeline activity via CRM tools.
- Support marketing initiatives to boost visibility and attract talent/customers.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications (Non-negotiables):
- Knowledge of the Pressure-Sensitive (PSA) market (awareness and application).
- Proven experience managing a multi-state region.
- Willingness to travel frequently (50%–70%).
- Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have)
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Minimum of 5+ years of sales or business development experience in packaging, printing, or labeling industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of label converting processes, coatings, and adhesive applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Familiarity with sales systems (e.g., Sandler) is a plus.
