Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Receiving Co-ordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and seamless reception and processing of incoming shipments. This position must receive and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock while adhering to prescribed policies and procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:
Receiving of Incoming Materials
Offload and put away all raw materials, supplies, equipment, stores materials and tooling as per established procedures
Hook up and unloading of rail cars and tanker trucks of resin
Examine shipment contents and compare with records as per established receiving procedure
Deliver packages to appropriate personnel
Forward packing slips to Purchasing
Enter all receipts in the LX system within 24 hours of receipt
Advise Purchasing or contact on the packing slip of any discrepancies
Other Responsibilities and Duties
Ensure accuracy of all scanning transactions in the LX system as well as physical movement of product throughout the warehouse
Responsible to maintain cleanliness of receiving area including office and dock
Fulfill all HACCP requirements and report any critical control point non-conformances
Properly maintain forklift/reach truck and ensure daily vehicle checks are conducted and Check Sheets are appropriately logged
Ensure the Warehouse is maintained in an orderly fashion, completing housekeeping responsibilities as required
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience/Field: 3 years forklift experience in a fast-paced Production/Manufacturing environment. Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
Licenses/Permits Required: Must be a licensed forklift operator (both Raymond Reach and Counterbalance)
Communication Skills: Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements: Job requires both office and warehouse/plant exposure. Both areas are subjected to high noise levels and the warehouse/plant area may have high levels of dust. Must wear protective equipment when required.
