Fully proficient engineer. Can be counted on to complete advanced complex assignments requiring full use and application of engineering or scientific methods.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design plans and drawings of production processes in order to maximize efficiency through the analysis of the layout of the equipment.
- Definition of process flows, work methods and activities of the operational staff
- Determines the components and tools necessary to achieve production goals according to the product specifications.
- New equipment request, validation and debugging using existing and/or developing new technologies or suppliers - Machinery validation thru statistical and capacity analysis.
- Achieve the release of the equipment by EHS department and assure the safe operation in the new machinery and tooling.
- Determines tools to improve PPAP phases taking in mind BW goals and expectation.
- Responsible for the core tools (PFMEA, Process Flow Diagram, and Process Documents) prior the R@R and PPAP phases.
- Participation in the development of timing plans to achieve manufacturing goals and responsibilities per project
- Participation in prototype builds, supporting the construction process.
- Participation in global meetings to share lesson learns and best practices for other plants.
- Responsible for training in maintenance and production in new equipment and / or processes
- Responsible for compliance with the department's metrics (Down time, Scrap, Change over time, Poke yokes efficiency) during the launch phases.
- Meet the needs required by the Production area and the new projects launch.
- Responsible of the deliverables to the operations team (Manufacturing, Maintenance and Production).
- Maintains extensive knowledge in the area of specialty and a firm understanding of the principles and practices of related specialties.
- Development of standard processes according to the area of expertise
JOB PROFILE & EXPERIENCE
PROFILE
- Engineering career
- Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronic or similar.
- Proficiency communicating and presenting in English and Spanish.
EXPERIENCE
- +5 years in Automotive Industry
- +3 years Knowledge in manufacturing or similar area
- Budget management.
- Knowledge on the following processes: welding, grinding, balancing, pressing and full assembly desirable.
