About this role
We are looking for a senior individual contributor responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of operational reporting and analytics for the Non‑Life Operations function. Based in Dublin, Ireland, this standalone role requires a high degree of autonomy, strong technical expertise in reporting and business intelligence (BI) tools, and the ability to collaborate internationally to translate complex data from insurance/reinsurance operations into robust, decision-ready insights. The ideal candidate is an experienced analytics professional with a background in insurance/reinsurance (or similar consulting environment), capable of learning complex data through collaboration with global teams and driving reporting projects independently:
- End-to-End Reporting & Analytics Delivery: Design, develop, and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and data analysis for Non‑Life Operations, ensuring outputs are reliable, accurate, and actionable.
- Data Structuring & Quality Control: Understand and structure complex data from various Non‑Life Operations areas (e.g. Reinsurance Accounting, Payments & Collections, Underwriting Operations) by working closely with those teams. Implement data quality checks and controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data.
- Technical Expertise & Tool Leadership: Act as the technical expert for reporting and BI tools (such as Power BI, SQL, Power Query, or Python). Build and optimize data pipelines, transformations, and visualizations to improve reporting efficiency and capabilities.
- Reporting Development Projects: Lead and manage reporting development initiatives end-to-end, including scoping requirements, project planning, execution, and stakeholder communication. Drive the implementation of new reporting frameworks or major enhancements to existing reports, coordinating with IT and other teams as needed.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Partner with global stakeholders across Non‑Life Operations to gather reporting needs and translate them into effective solutions. Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, serving as a key link between operational teams, data teams, and business leaders.
About you
You bring a significant experience (typically 5+ years) in reporting, data analytics, or business intelligence roles, demonstrating end-to-end project delivery and strong technical proficiency. Furthermore, you have had a prior exposure to non-life insurance or reinsurance operations (or relevant consulting experience working with insurance clients). Furthermore, you bring the following background and skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced data analysis & reporting skills, with a strong command of BI tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL, Power Query, Python or similar).
- Experience working with large, complex datasets and data warehouse environments (e.g. Snowflake or similar).
- Familiarity with insurance/reinsurance systems and data (e.g. SICS, PeopleSoft) – highly valued but not mandatory.
- Ability to design sustainable, well-documented data models and reporting structures.
- Analytical & critical thinking: Able to derive actionable insights from complex data and solve problems with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
- Autonomy & ownership: Self-motivated and highly autonomous, capable of independently driving projects and making decisions while knowing when to escalate or seek input.
- Communication & stakeholder engagement: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
- Adaptability & teamwork: Comfortable working as a standalone expert while being an integral part of a broader global team; adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.
- Relevant certifications in data analytics, BI tools, or reporting platforms are a plus.
