Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a ATS Material Planning/ Warehouse Team Lead - 1st Shift. 

The hourly rate for this position is $28.88 per hour.

The shift hours are 6am- 2:30pm.

What you’ll do:

The Materials Planning / Warehouse Lead (MPWL) is responsible of ensuring ATS Bought outside material meets production demand.  Also responsible for training and indirectly leading the warehouse employees.  The MPWL will serve as the liaison between each PL’s Operations Team and the SCM (Materials Planning Manager) Team.  The MPWL has responsibility for managing and controlling total inventory to support an engineered-to-order (ETO) manufacturing environment while working to achieve the monthly / yearly DOH Profit Plan goals.

The MPWL is responsible for providing suggestions for Buyers, as well as serving as the first escalation avenue for material availability concerns.  

In this function you will:
•    Develop and implement standard operating procedures inside the consolidated warehouse.
•    Develop and Lead “Rack Audits/Cycle Count.  Drive root cause analysis for discrepancies.
•    Facilitate plant-wide, cross-functional Excess and Obsolete events focused on identification, investigation, and disposition of E&O material.
•    Establish a cadence to review Surplus and E & O items with sister Eaton sites to eliminate slow-moving inventory.
•    Analyzes and identifies opportunities focused on material availability
•    Support Physical Inventory (two events per year) planning and lead the in-depth inventory analysis based on results
•    Serve as Asheville’s consolidated point of contact and subject matter expert for Contactors.
•    Maintain and communicate Asheville’s Magnum SIOP demand profile to PCA Leadership.
•    Work with Supply Chain Team for broader SC projects/tasks and trainings as necessary.
•    Observe all safety regulations as specified or directed.
•    Maintain a clean, orderly and safe workplace.
•    As necessary, work with Buyer, to ensure material is available to meet production requirements while minimizing premium freight.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•    High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution.
•    Working knowledge of Kanban and other internal stock control methods
•    Previous experience with reading and looking up Bill of Materials (BOM’s)
•    Previous experience with AS400, MAPICS, Vista, and Enovia
•    Previous computer experience – Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Position Criteria:

•    Ability to deal with suppliers, customers, supervisors, etc. in a professional manner
•    Ability to work with internal customers, supervisors, and planners and changing schedules
•    Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams across plant and corporate entities
•    Must be self-motivated and results oriented
•    Able to lift, carry up to 35 lbs.
•    Required to work flexible hours – overtime including weekends as necessary
•    Must have appropriate written and oral communication skills
•    Strong organizational skills
•    Previous Supply Chain and/or Planning Experience in multiple product lines.
•    SIOP Knowledge.
•    Knowledge of the E&O process.
