What’s the role
You will be supporting the Reservoir Engineering team within the Well, Reservoir, and Facility Management (WRFM) community. In collaboration with various subsurface and reservoir engineers across assets, you will primarily focus on streamlining and documentation of the data management process. You will play an essential role in enabling accurate and timely data extraction for review processes and support assets in capturing critical fluid, pressure, and reservoir property data, while helping manage key subsurface uncertainties. With a foundational understanding of reservoir performance analysis and hydrocarbon volumes, you will contribute to improving how reservoirs are understood and managed while developing your technical expertise in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
What you’ll be doing
As a Jr. Reservoir Engineer, you will support asset teams by ensuring accurate data management, enabling effective analysis, and contributing to key reporting processes. This role is essential in driving high-quality subsurface insights, supporting reserves evaluation, and enhancing production forecasting using industry-standard tools.
This role will focus on the following principal accountabilities:
- Work closely with Assets & Reservoir Engineer in maintaining and providing necessary access and data for various reservoir studies and reviews
- Understand and provide support on necessary reports and workflows during the annual reporting cycles (internal and external)
- Support Reserves Reporting, Subsurface Benchmarking, and Portfolio Analysis
- Integrate subsurface data types such as production, and pressures to present meaningful insights using industry-standard data visualization tools; perform quality checks and connect with relevant stakeholders for verification/rectification
- Support Assets with Reserves estimation and classification, Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) based Production Forecasting, Well Test interpretation, and MBAL Modelling
- Participate in the reservoir engineering network and share key achievements and challenges
- Be a team player and assist other colleagues in reservoir engineering workflows as required
What you bring
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong potential in reservoir and subsurface data management and analysis.
Qualifications & Skills:
- University degree in Geoscience, Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or similar
- Fresher or early career talents with 1-2 years of experience in any one of these areas - Field Development Planning, Reservoir Studies, Production Forecasting, Subsurface Benchmarking, Annual Reserves Reporting
- Basic understanding of various data types such as production, injection, fluid, pressure, and reservoir properties
- Data management, analysis, integration and visualization skills with working knowledge in Python, VBA/Power Query, Spotfire, PowerBI would be an advantage
- Understanding of end-to-end Upstream Asset Development
- Practical knowledge of Continuous Improvement methods to drive process simplification
- Willing to relocate to Poland; hybrid model (minimum of 3 days on-site)
