Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort are looking for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Supervisor to support our Maintenance department on a full-time basis.
In this role, the successful candidate will assist in coordinating and carrying out all maintenance requirements across the property.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in leading and executing the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance.
- Assist in supervising a team of two Maintenance Officers
- Provide hands-on support by performing repairs and maintenance as required across the property.
- Supervise and support key service areas including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services, and approved contractor works.
- Always Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) best practices.
- Assist with stock control and supplier coordination to maintain efficient operations.
- Support in preparing quotes and scheduling maintenance tasks, including minor Capex works.
- Work closely with the Hotel Manager to support the recruitment and development of the Maintenance team.
Shift Details (subject to change):
- Monday to Friday
- 6:30am start time (flexible for the right candidate)
- Afterhours caretaker on site – weekend/afterhours calls may be required on an ad hoc basis
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous hands-on Maintenance or Facilities experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Experience supervising or supporting team members within a maintenance team.
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
- A relevant trade or building qualification will be highly regarded.
- Experience liaising and coordinating with Contractors.
- Sound MS Office skills (including Excel spreadsheets and Word documents).
- A passion for delivering exceptional, pro-active service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with impeccable presentation.
