Job Description
The Dishwasher/Prep position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. The incumbent also maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through dish machine.
- Sorts and stacks clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas. Rewashes soiled dishes before delivering.
- Changes dishwater in dish machine on routine basis.
- Washes pots, pans and trays by hand.
- Removes trash and garbage to dumpster.
- Sets up and breaks down dishwashing area.
- Performs other duties related to cleanliness of kitchen as assigned.
- Prepares food according to standardized recipes and assist in private events on and off site.
- Ensures compliance with applicable Health Department codes.
