Overview Advertising Operations continues to grow because we are experts in the art of trafficking digital ad campaigns, skilled at fighting ad fraud, and outstanding optimizers. In this role, you'll assist with the execution of digital campaigns and help solve some of the toughest industry problems our clients face. The Director, Advertising Operations is responsible for identifying technical opportunities to address client needs across all channels of digital media. This role will lead a team who will be trafficking, launching, and consulting on AAI strategy at every step of a campaign for our client. Responsibilities Manage the Ad Ops teams supporting your client(s), ensuring flawless execution of campaigns. Teams usually have a combination of Associates and Managers, as well as Associate-level counterparts in our TAAG India office. Campaigns will be run across a variety of media including display, video, social, mobile, and programmatic Lead strategic conversations with client and media teams around new technologies or process that can improve analysis, visualization, or quality of data (Tech Ops) Lead discussions around KPI development, and technology integrations that can improve efficiency, range or quality of data, or support new media (Analytics) Build relationships with your clients (internal and external) and consult on ad technology strategy. You’ll design tests, RFP/meet with vendors, and guide your client team through the changing ad tech landscape Support the team in the more complex aspects of trafficking, including Floodlight tags, DMP integrations, network upgrades, and more (Tech Ops) Be able to guide the group in comprehensive data visualization and advanced storytelling (Analytics) Initiate conversations with vendors on behalf of clients when troubleshooting is required; manage conversations with the media team on ways to work faster and smarter Be the final word in execution timelines, holding media teams and creative agencies responsible for deliverables and making tough calls if/when things aren’t running according to plan Provide leadership across TAAG and Publicis Collective, setting agency-wide standards for process, templates, and QA Collaborate with peers and share your team’s best practices with others in order to improve output for all of TAAG Be a subject-matter expert on technologies specific to your client, and support the education of your team in these areas. Develop and maintain POVs on key industry technology for internal and external distribution Manage interview process for all technical operations positions from start to finish. Predict and forecast scoping needs for the business cycle and appropriate staffing for technical operations and develop staff to ensure client needs are met Provide continuous and specific feedback to team members and encourage rotations, promotions, and all of the good parts of career development Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred, preferably in marketing, advertising, business, engineering, statistics, economics, sociology, or equivalent 7+ years of directly related experience 4+ years of team management experience Demonstrated ability to navigate and manipulate large data sets to create and translate insights into compelling presentations Strong client management/consultative experience both presenting and resolving issues Extensive experience leading and managing technical projects, including problem-solving, strategic technology roadmaps and implementation Extensive experience leading and managing marketing technology projects Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills – demonstrated ability to mine data for relevant and actionable insights Solid written and verbal communication skill with the ability to communicate/translate complex concepts to non-technical audiences Strong understanding and experience with digital media buying, KPI development, and technology practices during campaign planning and execution Demonstrated ability to juggle critical projects effectively – keeping others adequately up to speed and ensuring deliverables meet expected timelines. Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and develop a team Demonstrated experience with programmatic audience buying execution Results orientations with strong independent and team project management and time management skills Experience proficiency with Microsoft office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint Experience with digital marketing technology, especially ad servers, tag management systems, DMP’s, brand study partners, verification technologies; experience or orientation to learning new software packages and methodologies (social media tools, data visualization etc.), data analysis techniques and applied statistics Additional information Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
