This role offers the opportunity to directly influence profitability by creating competitive, data-driven pricing and contract proposals for assigned trade lanes and customers. You will work in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment managing a daily quote queue through Salesforce while partnering closely with Sales. Beyond quoting, you’ll support contract renewals, analyze margin performance, and identify new pricing and revenue opportunities. What You'll Do:

Responsible for creating profitable and competitive rates and contract proposals for assigned trade lanes and/or customers.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze contracts and negotiate directly with customers or through sales personnel to generate timely responses to RFP's and achieve highest obtainable margins.
  • Develop and maintain net analysis spreadsheets and costing information tools for pricing personnel and/or in support of contract renewals and specific projects.
  • Keep other departments (such as freight services, sales and operations) informed of pricing matters related to assigned trade lanes and marketplace opportunities/conditions.
  • Participate in vendor, sales calls, conferences, and committee meetings.
  • Produce reports and deliverables within specified guidelines, requiring statistical analysis and strategic decision-making.
  • Uses various PC software packages such as spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, etc., to produce high quality reports, presentations, or other documents.
  • Complete various assigned projects from vision to completion for Pricing Management.
  • Requires a business or technical vocabulary and knowledge of company operations, organizational procedures, and staff.
  • Makes independent decisions within established guidelines regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling of work.
  • Support the Pricing Manager/Head of Pricing by maintaining contracts, rates and tariffs for specific assigned trade lanes and customers.

Qualifications

Education & Credentials:

Bachelor's degree in business, transportation/logistics or equivalent work experience; or a combination of post-high school and equal experience may be substituted for education

Experience:

 2 - 4 years logistics/transportation industry experience, with preferably 1 - 2 years prior customer service, sales, or pricing experience

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
