Job Description

Our People team is responsible for managing and enhancing all aspects of human resources and employee experience. Our team oversees talent acquisition, including recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new hires, ensuring that the Firm attracts and retains top legal talent and business services professionals. We develop and implement HR policies, manage employee relations, and administer compensation and benefits programs to ensure a fair and supportive work environment. Additionally, the People team focuses on training, professional development, work allocation, mobility and fostering a positive workplace culture. We also handle performance management, employee engagement, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. Through our comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives, the People team ensures that the Firm’s workforce around the world is motivated, skilled and mobilized to deliver on the Firm’s objectives.

The Manager, Recruitment plays an important role, working directly with Recruitment leadership and the assigned workforce to ensure the effective operation of Firm policies. The role contributes to and supports strategic decision making, with an operational and tactical focus. Recognized as an expert in Recruitment matters, the Manager leverages comprehensive knowledge of Recruitment to address complex challenges. This role is required to provide in-depth specialist advice and counsel to the business, facilitating effective commercial decision-making and informing strategy development.

The roles and responsibilities of this job include:

  • Responsible for contributing professional direction for a Recruitment discipline, such as early careers, within a department, working across regional and global offices

  • Provides expert guidance and support to Recruitment leadership teams on all Recruiting matters, including sourcing strategies, candidate evaluation and onboarding processes

  • Leads as a project manager, providing technical knowledge specialized expertise of Recruitment disciplines to help enact transformational change and implement People - related initiatives

  • Serves as an escalated point of contact within the team, taking on complex employee queries and providing innovative insights and recommendations to resolve issues fairly and efficiently

  • Supports leadership with commercial decision-making, providing knowledge and insights on recruitment approaches, market trends, and best practices.

  • Leads collaboration with teams across the business to successfully implement Recruitment programmes and initiatives, setting the standard of operational excellence within the team

  • Managers at this level will lead one or more teams of supervisors and/or professionals and coordinators, managing operations within a designated area or department

  • Individual contributors at this level will lead projects within a broader initiative, providing technical guidance and setting priorities for the team as well as reviewing the work of others

  • Engaging in operational and tactical activities, contributing to and supporting decision - making within the team/Sub-Function

  • Subject matter expert, possessing advanced and specialized expertise in the discipline, including methodologies, processes and able to address atypical issues within own field

  • Managing small professional and/or defined delivery teams across regional and global offices, impacting business primarily through professional or technical contributions to an area of specialty

  • Ability to think critically and analytically, leveraging data and insights to inform decision - making and drive continuous improvement

  • Good analytical and problem - solving skills

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of the Firm

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience/relevant certifications where appropriate to the discipline
