Job Description

Job Summary

Experienced Licensed Journeyman Plumber responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial plumbing systems in accordance with code, specifications, and project requirements. Works under general supervision and provides guidance to apprentices.

Essential Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings to plan installations
  • Install, repair, and test plumbing systems (water, gas, sanitary, storm, and process piping)
  • Measure, cut, thread, and join piping using appropriate tools and methods (soldering, brazing, welding, grooving, etc.)
  • Install fixtures and equipment (sinks, toilets, water heaters, softeners, etc.)
  • Lay out pipe routes and mark penetrations; cut openings in walls/floors as needed
  • Perform system testing using air/water pressure to detect leaks
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments; follow all PPE and safety protocols
  • Support safety planning efforts and mentor apprentices as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years as a Plumbing Journeyman preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Possession of a valid/current Journeyman Plumber’s License is a must
  • Trained and qualified to operate machinery such as scissor lifts, aerial lifts, fork lifts, etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency through job-related training and extensive on-the-job experience.
  • Expected to serve as a resource for colleagues, work independently with minimal supervision, and offer guidance to team members.
