JOB SUMMARY
The FLEX Senior Manager, Partner Management role will work to support the long-range enterprise partnership strategy and leverage cross-disciplinary efforts to effectively achieve Marriott International’s customer mission. This role is responsible for supporting the management of strategic partnerships to drive Marriott Bonvoy member growth and enhance the company’s market position. This role supports cross-functional teams, establishes new partnership protocols, and ensures successful implementation and management of partner programs.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Six or more years’ relevant professional experience in business development, partnership management, account management or a related role demonstrating patterns of exceptional performance
- Excellent negotiation, communication, project management, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience working on contracts with external partners - knowledge of business terms, contract execution, working with legal teams to navigate complexities
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results under fast-paced, challenging conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity
- Extensive experience in developing high-impact presentations for an executive audience
- Understanding of the hospitality space and the needs of different brand tiers and consumer segments
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Serve as a primary contact for strategic alliance partners, maintaining strong relationships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key executives and contacts at partner organizations to maximize value.
- Support partner onboarding, working closely with procurement, F&B, and other disciplines required to onboard new beverage partner.
- Manage cross-functional teams inclusive of marketing, brand, loyalty, sales, legal, finance, operations, and digital teams to ensure successful partnership activation.
- Collaborate with the VP and Business Development & Strategic Accounts team to develop and implement strategic joint business plans, including defining partner value propositions and competitive strategies to complement Marriott key objectives including marketing plan
- Work with the VP and Business Development & Strategic Accounts team to obtain stakeholder alignment on partner marketing funding allocations and communicate funding allocation decisions
- Support the intake and governance process for Joint Business Plan initiatives, ensuring stakeholders are executing initiatives within allocated budgets and delivering against targeted KPIs
- Develop materials and cadences that elevate awareness and effectively communicate the benefits and obligations of existing partnership agreements across the business.
- Project manage the launch and establishment of partner programs, ensuring they meet strategic objectives and deliver results.
- Monitor and report on the health and performance of partnerships.
- Develop and maintain a perspective on partnership best practices, competitive and noncompetitive executions of note.
