
Fire Fighting & Plumbing Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Fire Fighting & Plumbing Engineer with 8–9 years of expertise in design, execution, and maintenance of fire protection and plumbing systems. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety compliance, system efficiency, and timely project delivery across residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Fire Fighting Systems
- Design and review fire protection systems including sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, fire alarm systems, and suppression systems
- Perform hydraulic calculations and ensure proper system sizing
- Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local fire safety regulations, and building codes
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of fire fighting systems
- Conduct fire risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
Plumbing Systems
- Design and implement plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, sewage, and stormwater systems
- Prepare layouts, piping designs, and BOQs
- Ensure proper sizing of pipes, pumps, and related equipment
- Oversee installation, testing, and maintenance of plumbing systems
Project Execution & Coordination
- Manage end-to-end project execution including planning, scheduling, and monitoring
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors
- Review drawings, technical specifications, and ensure design accuracy
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgets
Inspection & Maintenance
- Conduct site inspections and audits
- Troubleshoot system issues and ensure quick resolution
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules
- Maintain documentation such as reports, drawings, and compliance records
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Fire Fighting, and Plumbing systems integration
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and hydraulic calculation tools
- In-depth understanding of NFPA, NBC, and local plumbing codes
- Experience in pump selection, pipeline design, and system calculations
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Strong project management and site coordination abilities
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or related field
- Certifications in Fire Safety or Plumbing systems (preferred)
