Advanced Bending Technologies is looking for an experienced Coater to join our Paint department in Calgary, Alberta.

The Role:
The Coater is responsible for prepping, blasting, and painting metal pipes and other materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prep and paint various products
- Read specifications and painting instructions
- Ensure work meets process requirements and quality control standards
- Prepare and mix required paint and coating materials using 2 component paints
- Ensure all health and safety policies are followed
- Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records
What You Bring:
- Minimum 5 years paint/coating experience including blasting, epoxies, urethanes and zincs
- NACE or AMP certification is considered an asset
- Proficient in operating industrial coating equipment, including King pumps (45:1 and up), conventional/pressure pot systems, cup guns, Graco XM 70 plural component pump, and HPX3, with experience spraying polyurethane
- Ability to read and understand processing, handling, and application requirements for all paint and coating materials
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) legislation
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Intermediate computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Comfortable around equipment, flipping bends, hot/cold bending environments and working in confined spaces
- Forklift certification is considered an asset
