What you’ll do:
We are looking for a Jr. Product Development Engineer focused on Electronics Software to support the design, development, testing and validation of embedded software and firmware for appliance control systems. In this role, you will contribute across different stages of the project cycle, from requirements and specifications to validation, production support and global software architecture initiatives.
In detail, you will:
Design software and firmware solutions for electronic controls and control systems.
Develop software specifications based on consumer, marketing, industrial design and product requirements.
Participate in software and firmware analysis, testing and validation plans.
Perform design review, code review, static code analysis, white-box testing and gray-box testing.
Support the transition of new software designs into the production process.
Provide technical support, documentation and training for manufacturing teams.
Participate in hardware design reviews together with hardware engineers.
Support the evaluation of alternative hardware and software solutions.
Contribute to global projects focused on software architecture and process standardization.
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities, including EMS/EAI initiatives.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields.
Experience with embedded firmware development, testing and validation.
Experience with C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
Experience with software and firmware specifications based on product and system requirements.
Experience with microcontrollers, development environments and tools, such as Renesas, Freescale, ST controllers and IAR.
Experience with software quality activities, including design review, code review, static code analysis and software testing.
Experience with hardware and software integration for electronic control systems.
Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
Advanced English is mandatory.
Experience working with global teams in multicultural environments.
Where you’ll be:
You will be based at the Curitiba Factory Plant, located in Guabirotuba. It will be necessary to be available for national and international traveling two to four times a year. Benefits include:
