The Accounting Manager | International supports the firm's global operations, with primary responsibility for managing accounting, reporting, and compliance across international entities. This role plays a key part in integrating and scaling the firm's offshore operating model following the recent acquisition of an India-based delivery capability, partnering closely with the Managing Director – National Offshoring and U.S.-based finance leadership to ensure financial integrity, operational alignment, and consistent reporting across geographies. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting skills with experience in multi-entity or international environments and thrives in dynamic, build-and-scale situations.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for international entities, including general ledger, reconciliations, and month/quarter/year-end close; ensure timely and accurate reporting aligned with corporate close timelines
Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, reconciliations, and consolidation inputs across international entities, including foreign currency translation and cost allocation treatment
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements; coordinate local statutory reporting, audits, and regulatory obligations across jurisdictions
Design, implement, and monitor internal controls across global operations; support audit readiness and execution in partnership with internal and external auditors
Support integration of newly acquired offshore operations into the firm's accounting and reporting environment
Establish standardized accounting processes, documentation, and ownership across offshore teams; remediate gaps in processes, controls, and reporting during the integration phase
Partner with operations leadership to transition from vendor-based processes to a scalable internal model
Drive standardization and continuous improvement of international accounting processes; identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, and reporting transparency across entities
Partner with FP&A, operations, and offshore leadership to provide financial visibility into international and offshore operations
Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis related to offshore delivery and expansion
Translate financial results into actionable insights for operational leaders, with focus on cost optimization, productivity, and margin improvement
Support system alignment and process harmonization initiatives across geographies
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including offshore team members; establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability across distributed teams
Serve as the primary liaison between U.S. finance leadership and offshore accounting teams
Foster a collaborative, process-driven, and high-performance team environment
Strong technical accounting foundation with experience in multi-entity or international environments
Able to operate effectively in evolving or partially built operating models; experience with offshore teams or shared service environments preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insight
Builds credibility quickly across functions and geographies; communicates technical accounting concepts clearly to operational audiences
Hands-on, solutions-oriented, and process-focused; able to influence without direct authority
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or equivalent certification
6–10 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience in international accounting or global operations
Background in professional services or similar multi-entity environment
Experience supporting integrations, process transformations, or system implementations
Experience working with offshore teams or global delivery models Experience managing month-end close processes
Exposure to multi-entity, international, or complex accounting environments
Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred
Or High School Diploma (or GED) and 7 years of experience in relevant field
Must have and preserve required licenses
Proficient use of applicable technology
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
Ability to travel as required by business
